I have also perused the depositions in the case of E. W. Nichols, before the Hon'ble The Chief Magistrate, and in the case of Maddison charged with desertion from the American Barque "Blondeer", before Mr. Assistant Magistrate Mitchell, and I am of opinion that the decisions of these Magistrates are strictly in accordance with the Law.
